Cancelled: Krewe of Boo parade and Zombie Run

Another holiday event in New Orleans is cancelled due to the pandemic. This time it is the Halloween-themed parade, Krewe of Boo.

Krewe officials said they waited as long as possible to make their decision, however, they feel it is better to cancel their 2020 events. This includes the ”Zombie Run” and “Monster Mash” events.

“The Chief Spookster of Krewe of BOO! has waited as long as possible to make a decision about rolling the parade and hosting the Zombie Run and Monster Mash for the weekend of October 24, 2020, hoping that the state of our country's pandemic crisis would improve,” officials said on the krewe’s website. “However, due to COVID-19, the parade and festivities for Krewe of BOO! 2020 will not be staged. We look forward to the 2021 parade and wish everyone well during these difficult times. Mask up and stay safe!”

Krewe of Boo’s now cancelled events were scheduled for Saturday October 24. The krewe says they are looking towards planning their events for 2021.
