Gayle Benson attends Wednesday's Saints practice

New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson attended Saints practice Wednesday according to a photo from the team's official social media account.

Benson, 73, had been working from home while she recovered from the Coronavirus. The team announced last week that Benson tested positive for COVID-19. Her practice attendance is a good sign of her recovery from the disease as all personnel are required to receive COVID-19 testing before entering the Oschner Sports performance facility.

Saints head coach Sean Payton, who tested positive for the virus earlier this year, said it was great to see Benson back in the facility

"She’s feeling better. I know she was excited to finally be able to get out and be around our players and she’s feeling good," Payton said. "And obviously any time someone’s gone through it you love to see them back and in good health and in good spirits."

The Saints have had four players land on the NFL's reserve/COVID list although Payton has said the team beleives three of those instances were the result of false positives.
