Louisiana surpasses 2 million tests, 155K cases

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards today announced that Louisiana has run more than two million tests for the novel coronavirus, and the state has confirmed more than 155,000 cases. There are 499 new cases reported today.

Another 21 deaths brings the state's total to 4,991. 

The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Louisiana is down 20, at 762 -- the fewest since the end of June.
