LSU CB Kary Vincent Jr. opts out of 2020 season

LSU cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. will opt out of the 2020 season. Vincent Jr. announced his decision in a post to his Twitter account. 

"With thoughtful prayer and lengthy discussions with my family, we feel that it is in my best interest to opt out of my final year at LSU and begin training for the NFL combine," he wrote. "I have worked long and hard for the oppurtunity to play in the NFL. I'm humbled and excited about atacking this next challenging with humility,  integrity, and diginity. I will always be forever LSU."

Vincent Jr. was headed into his final season with the Tigers after helping LSU win a national championship as the teams starting nickelback. His four interceptions in 2019  ranked second for LSU. He also logged 44 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 13 passes. Vincent Jr. also was a member of the Tigers' track team.
